
Lock screen widget support was last seen in Android 4.4 KitKat and Google removed the feature after that and there was no perfect app to replace it – until now. Lock screen widgets created by a developer recognized by XDA Zacharee1. As the name implies, this app returns widgets to the lock screen. This is how you can add widgets on Android lock screen. How to add widgets on Android lock screen
This application is quite easy to use, but it requires accessibility and permissions to access notifications. These permissions are only to provide the necessary permissions to the widgets on the lock screen. Regardless, the app does not collect personal data, so it is safe to grant the permissions.
To add widgets to the lock screen, download the app Lock screen widgets. ($ 1.49). Once you have installed the application, it will go through the welcome screen and ask for accessibility permissions and access to notifications.

After granting the permissions, you are ready to add the widgets. To do that, you can go to the lock screen and tap the little plus (+) icon in the middle.
Here you can find the widgets available for the lock screen. Select the widget you like and it will automatically position itself in the center of the lock screen.
You can adjust the position and size of the widget. Simply, tap with two fingers to adjust location and size of the widget.
You can scroll left on the widget like a carousel slider and tap the plus icon to add even more widgets. This way, you can add as many widgets as you like without taking up a lot of space.
You can go to the app settings to look for options like opaque background, Hide when showing notifications, etc. For the most part, the default options are good enough for most people.

This app will be on my phone for at least the next few months. But one thing I don’t like is that the widgets will show even when entering the password or PIN. Sometimes it can be annoying to use the on-screen fingerprint scanner. So you need to position the widget accordingly.
