While there is no shortage of music sync apps like AmpMe, jqbx, Y DeliriumBut if you want to sync music online, your options are limited. Fortunately, Spotify recently released a new group session streaming feature that allows you to listen to the same song together.
Since you don’t have to be connected to the same wifi, I guess this is a great feature to take advantage of in this pandemic. This is how songs can be connected and controlled together.

Listen to Spotify In Sync
Open Spotify, play a song, and select the “Connect to device” button. You can see the Spotify code that allows you to start a group session.
If your friend is nearby, ask them to open the Spotify app on their smartphone and select the same “Connect to device” button, and tap SCAN TO JOIN. Alternatively, if your friend is far away, you can send the screenshot to him via WhatsApp or email and ask him to use the SELECT FROM PHOTOS option.
You can add as many people as you want to your group and everyone can control the songs together.
This is still in the beta stage and as of now, you also don’t have the full set of rumored social listening characteristics before. Regardless, this is one of the most useful features that a 2020 music streaming service should come as standard. Although I am quite impressed with the service, it could be an even better experience if we could share the link with friends to join. As this feature is in the beta stage and yet not available to everyone, we can expect Spotify to add such small features around it to make it more fluid.
